ASPM’s course is accredited by the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) for Focused Psychological Strategies Skills Training Level 2 (FPS-ST) and approved for CPD by RACGP and ACRRM.
GP Psychological Medicine Training: For GPs by GPs
ASPM’s FPS-ST offers level 2 training in practical mental health care for general practice. Designed and delivered by general practitioners, this course has several delivery modes: on demand (coming soon), via Zoom and face-to-face. Live courses run over a weekend (14 hours), with 6 hours of preparation and 1 hour follow-up, with small groups to ensure quality learning. See our events calendar.
Online Resources
A wide variety of quality resources and self-help activities to share with patients are included in the cost of the course. A comprehensive reading list is provided for those who wish to develop greater depth in particular areas of interest.
Practical Training for GPs
ASPM’s training is highly interactive and very practical. It is suitable for GP registrars through to experienced doctors with all skills being readily transferable across all other areas of General Practice. We encourage contributions from and interaction between our participants, as we always learn from attendees at each workshop.
